Faham Abdus Salam is a Bangladeshi-born author and researcher [1][2]. Faham's writing began in the JaiJaiDin Newspaper; where he used to write two regular columns titled Pinjar and Swadesh Vihanga. Also, he is writing a few articles in the Dhaka Tribune[3]. "In Search of Bengali Mediocrity" is Faham Abdus Salam's first book, a collection of essays written at various times over the past ten years. His interests are Bangladeshi psychology, language, politics, science, and religion. He made a documentary about the history of Dhaka, which is still available on YouTube. Expatriate in Australia since 2004.

Early and Personal Life

Faham was born in Dhaka. He married Shamaruh Mirza, the daughter of popular Bangladeshi politician Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir. Shamaruh Mirza is a senior regulatory scientist at the National Industrial Chemicals Notification and Assessment Scheme. His father was a former military officer in the Bangladesh Armed Forces.

Education

He was a student at Cumilla Cadet College and studied microbiology at the University of Dhaka. He also studied at Western Sydney University and completed a PhD in Molecular Therapeutics from the Australian National University.

Profession

Faham Abdus has worked as a regulatory scientist in the National Industrial Chemical Notification and Assessment Scheme. He now works as a senior evaluator of biological medicines at the Therapeutic Goods Administration[4].
