Islammiyah Saudique-Kadejo (nee Saudique) is a Nigerian-Irish social justice advocate, Social entrepreneurship, motivational speaker and a trained broadcaster. In 2021 she founded GOCOM Radio[1], the premier community radio which focuses on the minority ethnicity in Galway and Ireland. She also founded Amdalah Africa Foundation - AMDAF[2], a charity dedicated to promoting justice, recognition and representation of African women, their descent and families, and ethnic minority groups. She is the Convener of Africa Women Roundtable and Intercultural EPIC Award in Ireland[3]; an emerging global women conference on issues that affect women, position them for success and celebrate their achievement.

Early life and Education

Saudique-Kadejo was born on August 8, 1977 and raised in Abeokuta, the state capital of Ogun State, in South-West Nigeria. She was the eighteenth of 21 children of a father with 9 wives. She holds a National higher diploma|National Higher Diploma (HND) in Mass Communication from Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta and completed a Master's degree|Masters’ degree in Gender, Globalization & Rights from NUI Galway|National University of Ireland, Galway (NUI Galway). Career

Saudique-Kadejo worked as a freelance journalist, producer and presenter on radio; and as a magazine editor. She is the producer and content creator of Family Talk and Ladun Loyin, Facebook podcast she started in 2017. The former addresses family issues while the latter promotes Yoruba culture|Yoruba cultural heritage. She moderates, comperes events and also mentors women and youth while working as the CEO at GOCOM Radio[5] and serving as AMDAF President[6].

She serves in the Galway Civil society|Civil Society Panel on Equality and Rights in Action Project Steering Group. She was elected into Galway City Community Network (GCCN) Secretariat[7] on social Inclusion pillar in April 2021, where she also serves as a member of the Board of directors#:~:text%3D%20Board%20of%20directors%201%20Terminology.%20Other%2Cdo%20not...%205%20See%20also.%20More|Board of Directors. She is always inspired by various books she reads and thoughts of Feminism|feminists, Media moguls and development experts, especially Toun Okewale Sonaiya|Toun Okewale, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Mo Abudu, Oprah Winfrey|Opray Winfrey, Ibtihaj Muhammad, and many more.

Saudique-Kadejo is a three-time Best selling books|Author of bestselling books set around Sickle cell disease|Sickle Cell disease, Child Paternity and Domestic violence|Domestic Violence; and as a speaker, she speaks to inspire, motivate and promote development, inclusion and justice. Her books are: Wedding Anniversary: Love doesn’t have to hurt[8] published in 2017; Agony of a Dying Daughter[9] published in 2003, and Who Owns the Child? which was also published in 2003.
