Early life and education

Egbunike was born on May 5, 1993, in London, England. He grew up in Acton, West London, and attended Acton High School. As a youth, Egbunike participated in various sports, including football, judo, and running.

Egbunike earned a Bachelor's in Sport Coaching Science from St. Mary's University.

Career

Early career

Egbunike started boxing at the age of 14, at his father's suggestion. As an amateur, he won two Haringey Boxing Cups and sparred with world champion James DeGale and fellow boxer Chris Kongo.[3]

Throughout his career, Egbunike has trained with various coaches and gyms, including Allstars Boxing Gym, Hooks Boxing Gym, and Stallard's Boxing Gym, where he honed his skills before turning professional.[4]

Professional career

Egbunike made his professional debut on November 30, 2018, securing a victory over William Warburton at York Hall, Bethnal Green.[5]

Since then, Egbunike has compiled a professional record of 9 wins, 3 losses, and 1 draw. His most recent fight was on April 12, 2024, where he defeated Jordan Dujon to win the vacant Southern Area Super Welterweight title at York Hall, Bethnal Green.[6]

Steve Goodwin manages Egbunike under a 3-year management contract with Goodwin Boxing.

The One Boxing
