Kiran Rai is a British model, award-winning actor, producer, television presenter and journalist. He is best known for reporting at over 106 major events including Wimbledon, Cannes Film Festival and London Fashion Week as well as for his roles in Kirpa (2014), Anarkali (2018) and The Forbidden Note (2016). In his career as a journalist, he has interviewed members of the Royal family, presidents, Hollywood actors and Bollywood stars. Rai has also since been featured in 800 international newspapers worldwide, both as a writer and the topic of interest.

Born to Indian parents Balwant and Chandra Rai, Kiran grew up immersed and influenced by both eastern and western cultures. This love for Asia translated into his work, with Rai conducting a series of interviews with over a hundred of Asia’s most influential people: The New York Press Agency power List 2020. These interviews took place during lockdown and over the course of only fifteen days but managed to include discussions with global names such as A. R. Rahman, Sonu Nigam, Zakir Hussain (musician) and over a hundred others.

Acting

In 2020, Kiran Rai made headlines by raising 15k in donations and using the money to help produce and complete the Singhalese film ‘Parachute,’ in which he started off as an actor. He also appeared in both Anarkali and Kirpa as well as a cameo appearance in Forbidden Note, a movie which was released on Amazon Prime and directed by Calum Andrew Johnson. Rai was also commended by All India Radio for his contributions to the arts and entertainment.

Entrepreneurship

Kiran Rai created and founded a magazine called Kings and Queens.[1] This magazine was funded by DMS Solutions and PCL marketing and after its first day of launching, it had more than 250,000 views and made it to news outlets across America.[2] He is also the Editor in Chief of the ' New York Press News Agency' - a news outlet based in the UK, India, Australia, Sri Lanka and Poland. He also uses his experiences to inspire students to seek out careers within the film, theatre and television industry. [3]

Modelling

Despite never going to university and therefore graduating, Rai found success in various industries- including modelling. During his tenure as a model, he was the face of ‘Duke Clothing,’ a Nottinghamshire-based clothing brand featured in over 89 magazines and also on ASOS (retailer)|ASOS. In 2018.
