Lach Black (born June 18, 2006), professionally known by his stage name Lil Devilish, is an American rapper, lyricist, and entrepreneur.[1][2] He is the founder and CEO of Clearblow, a healthcare technology company.[3][4]
Lil Devilish’s music style is country rap, with three singles to his credit, including “Wish Kid,” “Over the Limit,”[5][6] and “Bet on Black.”[7]
Biography
Black was born on the central coast of California and grew up as the third oldest of nine siblings. During his high school years, he was homeschooled, which allowed him to explore his interests in music and entrepreneurship.[8][9]
Black developed an interest in country rap, influenced by artists such as Lil Nas X, Yelawolf, and Jelly Roll.[10] He adopted the stage name Lil Devilish and began writing, producing, and mixing songs in his bedroom studio.[11][12][13]
In 2022, Lil Devilish transitioned into a career as a country rapper, debuting with "Wish Kid." The song delves into themes of hope and longing.[14] Subsequently, his track "Over the Limit" gained attention as an autobiographical piece, reflecting on Lil Devilish's early life in rural poverty, and gained popularity on Spotify and TikTok.[15][16]
In 2021, Black founded Clearblow, a healthcare technology startup specializing in AI-driven respiratory solutions.[17][18] Black was motivated by his struggle with a chronic lung condition to innovate and transform respiratory health solutions.[19] The company's primary product, the Clearblow Spirometer, is a portable digital lung monitoring device with Bluetooth technology. Under Black’s leadership as the CEO and founder, Clearblow secured its pre-seed funding round, spearheaded by Global VC Partners.[20]
