Surendran J (born 20 Oct 1975) is an Indian serial entrepreneur, best known as the Founder and CEO of Success Gyan - a leading training events platform for personal and professional growth based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.[1] He is the co-author of the Amazon best-selling book Success Recipe along with Brian Tracy, which has been translated to Hindi, Tamil, and Marathi from English.
Success Gyan aims to provide affordable and easily accessible training programs that spread across a diverse range of domains including Personal Development, Business Acceleration, Career Upgradation, and Financial Management.[2] Since the inception of Success Gyan in 2012, Surendran has organized over 1000 live and online events across the country featuring leading trainers from around the world.[3]
Early life and education
While growing up, Surendran was an A-Grade student and wished to study at IIT Madras. Unfortunately, he couldn’t achieve that in order to support his family after his father had a paralytic attack when he was in the 6th grade. He then decided to join the Polytechnic straight after his 10th grade so he could start working at the age of 18, after receiving his diploma. When he was in his third year of college his father passed away.
Career
Surendran's first job was at HCL, but the salary wasn’t enough to even pay the interest on a massive loan of 24 Lakhs. His life transformed after he attended the training programs of some of the world's best trainers, including Brian Tracy, Tony Robbins, T Harv Eker, and others. He pledged to host a session with Brian Tracy for his network of family and friends when he could afford it after seeing the influence on his own life, and later in his career he did. After receiving such a great response, he then continued to bring additional renowned international trainers to India every 90 days due to popular demand, and in 2014 partnered with Success Resources from Singapore to take it to the next level.[4]
Under his leadership, Success Gyan has become one of India’s top training platforms empowering numerous people to transform their lives by offering world-class education and training in all key fields. Over the last 10 years, Success Gyan has brought renowned international trainers like Nick Vujicic, Robert Kiyosaki, T Harv Eker, Brian Tracy, John Gray, Dr. John DeMartini, Mac Attram to India.[5]
Quick to adapt to the new normal as a result of the pandemic, Surendran launched the Success Gyan Online Academy, which organizes about 100+ Live Webinars every month and has impacted a million lives last year. The academy was founded with the aim to work with 100 of the world’s best trainers and digitally impact the World.
