Adam Jeffrey Carmichael (Born April, 19 1982) is an American businessman currently running for U.S. House of Representatives for California's 37th congressional district as a Democratic. A California native, he served in the US Navy as a Search and Rescue Swimmer.

Early life, education, and military

Adam Jeffrey Carmichael (née Hall) was Born in Redding, California to Janice Audrey Hall (née Ayers) of Burney, CA and Jeffrey Patrick Hall of Anderson, CA. An avid swimmer, Adam swam for both his varsity high school team and the city team before enlisting in the military when he was 17.

Adam attended bootcamp and A school in Great Lakes, IL before joining his command in Everett, WA where he embarked on a deployment with the Seventh Fleet. During a semiannual physical qualification, Adam was spotted by the Commanding Officer for his swimming and was selected to attend Search and Rescue School in San Diego, CA. In the military Adam was awarded the Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, and National Defense Service Medal.

After the military Adam attended Portland State University and Butte Community College. After the first two years of Civil Engineering Adam changed his major to Business Administration. Adam later attended Butte Community College in Chico, CA to further extend his education and was awarded a degree in Social and Behavioral Science.

Career

Since 2015 Carmichael has been working as a Software Architect, developing and implementing Human Capital Management software.

In 2022 started a nonprofit organization in California to fight climate change and promote desert greening, and in 2023 Carmichael started a Garden Canter business with a location in Los Angeles in his district.

Personal life

Carmichael is in relationship with Colombian citizen and divides his time between their residences in Los Angeles and Medellin, Colombia.

Carmichael has always had a passion for restoration protection of old homes and has painstakingly restored two historical homes in Los Angeles and Orange County. His home in West Adams Heights neighborhood of Los Angeles was uninhabitable when he purchased it in 2019.
