According to the announcement, iHolding would purchase approximately 6.67 million newly issued shares of Scilex common stock at US$15.00 per share. If completed, the proceeds are expected to support Scilex’s commercialization activities, healthcare innovation, product development, acquisitions, strategic partnerships, intellectual property expansion, and international growth. The proposed transaction remains subject to due diligence, negotiation of definitive agreements, board approvals, shareholder approval where required, and regulatory approvals before closing.
In the accompanying joint statement, Alain Khoueiry and iHolding Chief Executive Officer Byron Byrd described the proposed investment as part of a broader vision to strengthen Kazakhstan’s participation in global healthcare investment, pharmaceutical manufacturing, biotechnology research, and international medical innovation.[7][8]
