Anna H. Ólafsdóttir is an Icelandic fisheries scientist who is recognized internationally.[1] Focusing on biology and ecology in pelagic waters around Iceland and collaborates with various partners from social scientists to stakeholders in the fisheries. [2]

As a member of various international alliances, including the International Conference on Arctic Research Planning (ICARP IV).[3] She has also contributed to various ICES Scientific Reports including the Working Group of International Pelagic Surveys (WGIPS),[4] and The Working Group on Integrated Assessment of the Norwegian Sea.[5]

As the Chair of WGINOR, she has assisted in developing an integrated ecosystem assessment (IEA) for the Norwegian Sea ecoregion.[6]

  • Geographical expansion of Northeast Atlantic mackerel (Scomber scombrus) in the Nordic Seas from 2007 to 2016 was primarily driven by stock size and constrained by low temperatures.[7]
