Early Life and Education
Basu Dev Acharja hails from Samdrup Jongkhar, Bhutan, where his parents also live a modest life. He developed an interest in literature during his primary school years. As of 2021, he was pursuing higher education at Sherubtse College, Royal University of Bhutan. He has a degree in political science from sherubtse and P.G in Contemplative counselling from samtse college.[1]
Literary Career
In 2021, Acharja published his debut book, Twist of Fate and Two Other Novelettes, a collection of three stories exploring themes such as love, tragedy, and personal choices, follwed by an Anthology. The book received positive reviews for its relatable narratives and emotional depth[2] Beyond his writing, Acharja contributed as an editor to Druk Yul Poetry: An Anthology of Bhutanese Poets, collaborating with the Drukyul Visionary Foundation for Literature .[3] Goodreads
