Betts Recruiting is an American recruitment firm specializing in sales, marketing, and customer service roles for technology companies.[1]
History
In 2009, Betts Recruiting was founded in San Francisco by recruiter and sales executive Carolyn Betts.[2] In July 2020, Betts Recruiting relocated its headquarters from San Francisco to Austin, Texas, citing the city’s growing technology ecosystem and business environment, while retaining office leases in New York City.[2]
Following the COVID-19 pandemic, Betts Recruiting adjusted its operating model to support remote work alongside its physical offices.[1]
Products and Services
Betts Recruiting provides contingency-based recruitment services, primarily focused on sales, marketing, and customer-facing roles within the technology sector.[3]
In December 2021, the company launched Betts Connect, an online recruiting platform that connects candidates with technology employers.[4]
Media Coverage
Betts Recruiting has received coverage in business and regional media. In 2016, the San Francisco Business Times reported on Betts Recruiting’s veteran hiring initiative, which focused on helping military veterans transition into sales careers within the tech industry.[5] Separately that same year, Reporting Texas referenced Betts Recruiting in an article about technology firms recruiting military veterans in the Austin area.[6]
An Austin Business Journal article published in 2018 reported on technology recruiting in Austin that included commentary from a recruiter at Betts Recruiting about her experience placing candidates in the region.[7] In 2013, CBS News covered hiring and career advice for technology job seekers in the San Francisco Bay Area and cited Carolyn Betts, the founder and CEO of Betts Recruiting.[8]
Recognition
The company has appeared on the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing private companies in the United States.[9] In 2014, Betts Recruiting was ranked among extra-small employers in the San Francisco Business Times' Best Places to Work collection.[10] In 2016, it was named to Crain’s New York Business’s Best Places to Work list.[11]
