Broad Reach is a United States and Canada based logistics company specializing in cross-border e-commerce parcel shipping in North American markets.[1] Established as a joint venture with Asendia USA that focuses on Canada, it specializes in providing efficient customs clearance, middle mile trucking and air lanes for packages, and delivery solutions for U.S. retailers serving the Canadian market and Canadian retailers servicing the US market. It also maintains inbound Canada parcel and ecommerce shipping lanes in from Europe and Asia.[2]
History
Broad Reach was founded in July 2022 through a joint venture majority-owned by Asendia USA, a subsidiary of the Swiss Post and La Poste group.[3] The venture was led by Dave Mays, a logistics executive with over 20 years of experience in cross-border e-commerce, including prior roles at Purolator Courier and as original founder of Landmark Global later sold to the Belgium post.[1] Mays aimed to address inefficiencies in U.S.-to-Canada shipping, such as customs delays and high costs, by investing in new facilities and trucking infrastructure.[2] In July 2025, Broad Reach integrated with Wizmo, another cross border shipping firm and Canadian ecommerce logistics specialist, to form a unified U.S.-Canada network offering overnight customs clearance and final-mile delivery options.[4] The company has emphasized sustainable and timely e-commerce solutions, targeting major markets from the U.S. east to west coasts.[1]
Operations
Broad Reach provides end-to-end cross-border services, including high-speed customs brokerage, trade management, and linehaul transportation for e-commerce parcels and packages.[5] It supports U.S. retailers with direct entry distribution, digital tools for landed cost calculations, and affordable shipping rates that include overnight delivery to Canada or to the USA from Canada.[6] The company operates a network serving key Canadian provinces, with a focus on Quebec and Ontario, where approximately 23% and 10% of cross-border orders are directed, respectively. Major pickup and sortation locations include terminals in Salt Lake city, Buffalo, Seattle, Chicago, JFK airport, Los Angeles, Miami, Calgary, Toronto, Vancouver. These locations are serviced through a fleet of flying assets trucks where overnight team line haul drivers methods are used. [7]
