Dave Chase is a British Music Director for fashion and luxury brands[1] and is most known for his tenure leading music at Burberry for Christopher Bailey.[2].
At Burberry, Dave collaborated with musicians including Robert Del Naja of Massive Attack, Benjamin Clementine, Clare Maguire and James Bay.[3][4] Dave also oversaw music supervision for all Burberry campaigns between 2011-2018 including 20+ London and Milan Fashion Week shows and for the Steve McQueen directed Mr Burberry fragrance campaign.[5][6]
Chase has specialised in music direction for fashion shows and has been know to write about the process and is also a regular media commentator on music in advertising.[7][8] [9] [10]
Chase has been credited as Music Director for London Fashion Week shows by Queen Elizabeth II Award for Design-winning fashion designer, Patrick McDowell and also for Graduate Fashion Week. In the Patrick McDowell fashion shows, Chase has collaborated with the renowned musicians Douglas Dare and Erland Cooper.[11][12] [13] [14] [15]
Chase was a pundit for the annual BBC 'Sound Of...' list for 5 years between 2014 to 2018.[16][17][18][19]
In 2025, Chase has been vocal in his questioning of Budweiser's Cannes Lion Grand Prix Award win for their One Second Ads campaign which stated that they had not paid any licensing fees for their use of music, leading to Budweiser apologising.[20][21][22]
