Dowi Hosiery Mills is a textile manufacturing company based in Valenzuela, Metro Manila, Philippines. Established in 1979, the company manufactures socks and hosiery, primarily under the brands Darlington and Exped.[1]
History
The company was founded in 1979 and maintains its headquarters and manufacturing operations in Valenzuela City. In 2014, the Valenzuela city government listed the company as one of the city's top industrial taxpayers.[2]
In 2017, the company adopted cloud-based Enterprise resource planning (ERP) to manage logistics for its retail partners, including SM Supermalls and Robinsons Malls.[1]
Brands
The company owns and manages two primary brands:
- Darlington: The company's original brand, established in 1979. In the mid-2000s, the brand signed Filipino boxer Manny Pacquiao as an endorser for a marketing campaign.[3]
- Exped: A brand introduced in 2005 which produces sports socks and charcoal-infused hosiery.[4]
