Dr. Ashok B.C. is an Indian plastic, reconstructive, and aesthetic surgeon based in Bangalore, India. He is currently the Head of Department (HOD) of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery and Chief of Medical Services at Aster Whitefield Hospital, Bangalore.
Early Life and Education
Dr. Ashok B.C. completed his M.B.B.S. from M.S. Ramaiah Medical College, Bangalore in 1990. He pursued his M.S. in General Surgery at M.P. Shah Medical College, Saurashtra University in 1994, followed by an M.Ch. in Plastic Surgery from N.H.L. Medical College, Gujarat University in 1997. He also holds a D.N.B. in Plastic Surgery from the National Board of Examinations, New Delhi (1998). Dr. Ashok further completed fellowships in Hand and Microsurgery at Ganga Hospital and Research Center, Coimbatore (2002), and in Breast, Super microsurgery, and Lymphatic Surgery in Japan (2019).
Career
Dr. Ashok began his career as an Associate Professor in Plastic Surgery at St. John’s Medical College from 1997 to 2004. He then served as a Consultant Plastic Surgeon at Manipal Hospital, Bengaluru, from 2004 to 2023, where he was also HOD (2010–2018), Adjunct Professor of Plastic Surgery at MAHE University, DNB teacher and examiner, and Co-director of the Breast Fellowship under MAHE.
