Edwin F. Williams III is an American facial plastic surgeon based in Latham, New York. He served as president of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS) for the 2015–2016 term.[1][2] He has also been described as the founder of the Williams Center Plastic Surgery Specialists in Latham, New York, established in 1993.[3][4]
Career
Williams is board-certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and has served as an AAFPRS fellowship director.[5] Coverage in the PMFA Journal also identified him as AAFPRS President-Elect.[6]
In 2016, during his AAFPRS presidency, Williams discussed social media’s influence on cosmetic procedure demand in an interview with Medscape.[7] His appointment as AAFPRS president was also covered by MedEsthetics magazine.[8]
