Jeewand Kalan is a small village of 828 hectares in Desuri Tehsil in Pali district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Jeewand Kalan depends on Rani, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, Two Wells supply, which is 107.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Jeewand Kalan is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Jeewand Kalan's pin code is 306603[4], and village code is 02459200. The area of Jeewand Kalan is segregated as 184 hectares irrigated area, 304.81 hectares unirrigated, the 161 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 178 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Rani and Pali to sell earthen pot and make their living.
