Dr. Groves was born on September 21, 1964, in Paxton, ILOdessa, Florida. His educational path laid the groundwork for his diverse career. He began his undergraduate studies at Florida Southern College in Lakeland, Florida, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 1986. Following this, Dr. Jeffrey Grove pursued a career in medicine, graduating with a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree in 1990 from Southeastern University of the Health Sciences-College of Osteopathic Medicine (SECOM) in North Miami Beach, Florida.

His commitment to medical practice led him to complete an internship in Rotating Medicine at Sun Coast Hospital in Largo, Florida, from 1990 to 1991. On a national scale, his roles with the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians included serving as President from 2013 to 2014 and being a part of the Board of Governors for the National ACOFP from 2004 to 2016. Dr. Grove also received the Marcelino Oliva, D.O., FACOFP dist. Excellence in Advocacy Award in 2016, followed by the Physician of the Year in 2020 and the Distinguished Service Award in 2023.

Dr. Jeffrey GrovesGrove's contributions to the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) spanned several years, including membership on the Council on Continuing Medical Education (CCME) from 2005 to 2019, where he also served as Chairman from 2009 to 2016. Dr. Grove donated one million dollars to the American Osteopathic Foundation (AOF) to support the launch of an initiative focused on LGBTQIA+ inclusion in the medical profession.
