Katie Himmel[1] is a designer and real estate broker currently residing in Chicago, Illinois. She has two children and has been married to David Himmel since 2016.

She was born in Decatur, Illinois and grew up in Hammond, Illinois until she was 18 years old. From there, she moved to Champaign, Illinois to study design and obtained her associates degree from Parkland College. After completing that degree, she continued to Columbia College in Chicago, Illinois to receive her bachelor's degree in art & design. She graduated cum laude in 2009.

She began working in marketing communications and did work on retail design, pop-up event spaces, consumer engagements, branding, and packaging. She also worked closely with Public Relations (PR) experts to create and design influencer marketing events. She has worked for many consumer brands but mainly Nike, Gatorade, Marvin Windows & Doors, Best Buy Camera Experience Shop, and Michelle Obama's Let's Move campaign.

Her marketing work with Marvin Windows & Doors highlighted her passion for all things home and she pursued her Illinois real estate license to work directly with homeowners needs. She joined @properties real estate brokerage, headquartered in Chicago, after receiving her real estate broker license. She is actively part of the @properties Bucktown office, and serves clients area-wide.

In 2022, Katie Himmel was named 'Who's Who In Chicago Real Estate' by Chicago Agent Magazine.[2]

She represents with both sellers and buyers in real estate transactions all across the Chicago metro area. Her office is located in the Bucktown neighborhood of Chicago.
