Kim Andrè Larsen, also known by his artist name “SinnSykShit” (born 1987), is a Norwegian urban contemporary artist and street artist based in Oslo. He is known for his colorful and detailed murals and paintings, often inspired by urban landscapes, architecture, and personal experiences.
Education and background
Larsen holds a bachelor's degree in graphic design and an honours degree in creative arts from Deakin University in Melbourne, Australia. He also studied at the Norwegian School of Creative Arts in Oslo. His interest and engagement in urban art, graffiti, and street art began during his teenage years,[1][2] and was further developed during his time studying in Melbourne,[3] a city with a well-established street art scene. This led to the creation of the graffiti and street art magazine *SplitCity Magazine*.
Artistic work
SinnSykShit’s artistic style is characterized by bold colors, black outlines, and abstracted urban motifs, often exploring themes related to alienation, unrest, and modern city life.
He has completed a number of public art commissions and murals both in Norway and internationally, including in Oslo,[4][5] Bodø,[6] Bergen, Drammen, and in Saint-Dié-des-Vosges, France.[7] His work has been featured in solo and group exhibitions in Norway, Italy, France, and Australia.
SinnSykShit is the founder of the Norwegian street art magazine *SplitCity Magazine*,[8] and co-founder of *Urbant Verksted*,[9] an initiative that offers youth artistic work experience through real-world projects.
