History

Linnworks was founded in 2005 by Fedor Dzjuba as a desktop application to manage online retail inventory.[4] In 2015, it transitioned to the cloud with the soft-launch of the Linnworks.net platform[5] and by 2019 the cloud-based system was firmly established alongside the legacy desktop version.[6]

In 2021, private equity firm Marlin Equity Partners acquired a majority stake in Linnworks.[7] In 2022, Linnworks acquired SkuVault, the company established offices in Louisville, London, and Tallinn.[8] A year later, in 2023, former CEO Callum Campbell left the position after having held on to it for five years and was replaced by Chris Timmer that same year. [9]Timmer still holds the position as of 2025.[10]

Products

Linnworks sells software used for managing e-commerce operations which integrates with various platforms including Amazon, eBay, Shopify, and Adobe Commerce.[1] The company’s main products include Linnworks Advance, which manages inventory and order operations,[11] and SkuVault Core, which manages inventory levels and warehouse workflows.[12]

Market Presence

Each year, Linnworks reports handling US$15 billion in gross merchandise value (GMV). The company reportedly has over 4,000 customers which include small and medium-sized businesses.[13] Linnworks holds ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certification for information security management.[14] Gartner Peer Insights places the company in its Warehouse Management Systems category.[15]

Linnworks maintains integrations with over 100 e-commerce services.[18] The company has also announced partnerships with TikTok Shop, which supports social commerce features[19]; Temu, to broaden marketplace integration;[20] and Lightspeed Commerce[21], to support integration between in-store and online operations.

Recognition

In 2022, Linnworks was recognized with an Early Adopter Award for participating in the eBay developer program.[22] Its 2021 report on ecommerce trends was referenced in an article by Retail Gazette.[23]
