Maksym Marshchivskyy is an internationally recognized entrepreneur and business continuity strategist, known for developing sustainable systems that thrive under crisis conditions.
In April 2023, Marshchivskyy relocated to Los Angeles and rapidly established himself as a leader in cultural and sports-driven community building. He co-founded the American Billiards Pyramid Federation.[1] (ABPF), signed international cooperation agreements, and built the foundation for a U.S. national team in pyramid billiards. Through Peaky Sticks Billiards & Lounge, he created a multifunctional hub for sports events, business networking, and cultural exchange.
Early life and education
Marshchivskyy was born in Ternopil, Ukraine. In 2003, he graduated from Secondary School №5 in Ternopil with a gold medal for academic excellence, an honor listed on the school’s official website[2].
That same year, he entered Kyiv International University to study International Relations. From his first year, he specialized in Japanese language taught in English, participated in academic competitions, and studied under leading Ukrainian and international professors.
In 2007, he completed his Bachelor’s degree in International Relations at Kyiv International University. His bachelor’s thesis — “Hennadiy Udovenko: An Outstanding Ukrainian Diplomat” — was one of the first dedicated studies of Hennadiy Udovenko, former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and President of the United Nations General Assembly. The thesis highlighted Udovenko’s significant contribution to shaping Ukraine’s diplomatic service and its international standing.
He continued his studies at the same university and in 2009 received his Master’s degree in International Relations.
During his student years, Marshchivskyy also twice participated in the Work and Travel USA program (2006–2007), where he legally worked in the United States, gained professional experience, and advanced his English proficiency.
Career and recognition
Marshchivskyy served as a jury member of the Ukrainian Business Award (UBA)[3] contributing his expertise to recognize and shape future business standards. According to UBA.top, he has been active in mentoring, association governance, and public initiatives in Ukraine and abroad[4].
He is a respected expert in international retail, marketing, and strategic management, with over 20 years of experience across more than 15 global markets. His career includes executive roles in billion-dollar retail chains and conducting hundreds of business audits across Ukraine and Europe. In 2021, he was profiled in Leaders-21 as one of the most dynamic representatives of Ukrainian entrepreneurship[5].
In 2021, Marshchivskyy received two major awards:
- Entrepreneurship Leader of Ukraine — awarded by the Assembly of Business Circles for innovation and international reputation of Ukrainian business.[4]
- Award for High Reputation — international recognition of business integrity, issued by Standard Chartered Rating and International Rating Association.[5]
He is also an active speaker at industry events, a mentor at leading business schools such as UCU and KMBS, and a member of the editorial board of the Polish journal Futurity Economics & Law. Additionally, he is a certified reviewer of international academic research, which allows him to assess businesses through the lens of global trends and European standards.
Marshchivskyy is the founder of the Ukrainian Hills Business Club, connecting entrepreneurs and leaders across borders[6].

Sports achievements
Marshchivskyy has a long-standing background in competitive sports. He is officially recognized as a Candidate for Master of Sport in swimming in Ukraine. He competed in multiple Ukrainian Swimming Championships, becoming a repeated champion of Ternopil city and Ternopil region, as well as a medalist in regional and Western Ukrainian competitions.
In addition to swimming, he holds a First Adult Rank in basketball, where he became the champion of Ternopil city, competing for his school team in national-level tournaments.
Marshchivskyy has also participated in pyramid billiards, where he achieved third place in an amateur city tournament in Kyiv.
Beyond competitive achievements, he remains an active sports enthusiast, engaging in tennis, table tennis, athletics, football, volleyball, hockey, rowing, and kayaking. This lifelong involvement in sports has strongly influenced his leadership style and commitment to developing youth athletic programs in the United States.
