Manhattn's Burgers is a Belgian restaurant chain specializing in New York-style flame-grilled hamburgers. The chain was founded in 2014 by brothers Jerome and Philippe Vandermeulen and currently operates several locations in Belgium and France.[1]
History
The idea for Manhattn's originated after Jerome Vandermeulen spent two years selling Belgian waffles from a food truck in New York. Inspired by the city’s atmosphere, the brothers decided to bring the concept of high-quality burgers in an urban American setting to Belgium. The first restaurant opened its doors on 22 October 2014 on Avenue Louise in Brussels.[2]
Concept
Manhattn's focuses on "fast casual dining" with an emphasis on quality ingredients. The burgers are made with grass-fed Irish Angus beef, freshly baked brioche buns, and homemade sauces. The menu offers a mix of classic and creative burgers such as the Empire Cheeseburger, Gatsby Burger, and Brooklyn Falafel Burger.[3] Fresh Belgian fries, milkshakes, and Belgian specialty beers are also available.

Recognition
In 2025, Manhattn's celebrated its ten-year anniversary. The brand is praised for its successful combination of Belgian quality and American flair, making it popular with both Belgian customers and international visitors.[1]
