Martin Bally is an American cybersecurity executive and board advisor with more than 25 years of experience in information security, enterprise technology, manufacturing security, and digital transformation.[1] He has held Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) positions at multinational organizations including The Campbell's Company, Stellantis, Diebold Nixdorf, American Axle & Manufacturing, and TRW Automotive.
Bally has focused on developing cybersecurity programs for complex and regulated organizations, with experience spanning enterprise security, operational technology (OT), industrial control systems (ICS), product security, cloud security, artificial intelligence governance, and cyber risk management.
Early life and education
Bally earned a Master of Science degree in Information Assurance from Norwich University, where he studied from 2007 to 2009. He also earned a bachelor's degree in Management and Organizational Development from Spring Arbor University.
Career
Bally began his career in information technology and cybersecurity roles within the automotive sector. At DaimlerChrysler, he worked as a Network Specialist supporting manufacturing technology environments, data centers, and enterprise applications.
At Chrysler LLC, Bally served as Network Operations Manager and Information Security Officer, where he managed teams responsible for information technology operations, security risk management, infrastructure, disaster recovery, and governance within automotive manufacturing environments.
From 2009 to 2013, Bally served as Director of Data Center and Cloud Security Services at The Dolan Company, overseeing security programs, cloud services, governance, disaster recovery, business continuity, and infrastructure controls.
From 2013 to 2016, Bally served as Chief Information Security Officer at ZF Group (formerly ZF TRW). He established global cybersecurity programs, developed security governance frameworks, implemented security operations capabilities, and expanded product security practices across automotive platforms. From 2016 to 2019, Bally was Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer at Diebold Nixdorf, where he led cybersecurity, product security, privacy, fraud prevention, and compliance initiatives supporting financial services and retail technology environments.
From 2019 to 2020, Bally served as Chief Information Security Officer at American Axle & Manufacturing, managing cybersecurity strategy, infrastructure operations, compliance, and product security programs for a global automotive supplier.
From 2020 to 2022, Bally served as Global Chief Information Security Officer at Stellantis. Following the merger of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles and PSA Group, he helped unify cybersecurity operations across multiple automotive brands and supported enterprise, manufacturing, and vehicle cybersecurity initiatives.
From 2022 to 2025, Bally served as Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer at The Campbell's Company, where he led enterprise cybersecurity strategy covering corporate technology, manufacturing operations, digital initiatives, artificial intelligence governance, and cyber risk management.
In 2026, Bally joined a stealth startup and continued involvement in cybersecurity advisory, board activities, and investment initiatives.
