Maura Burns is an intelligence official who is serving as the acting director of the Central Intelligence Agency since 2025.[1] She served as the chief operating officer of the Central Intelligence Agency from 2022 until 2025.[2]
Early life and education
Burns graduated from the University of Kentucky in 1985.
Career
In May 2022, Burns was selected as the chief operating officer of the Central Intelligence Agency.[2]
Personal life
Burns earned the Presidential Rank Award in 2016 and the Wash100 Award in 2024.[2]
