Miles Moretti (李美越), is a Chinese-American mixed race content creator on TikTok. He went viral for wearing floral outfits (which is called "Dongbei DaHua" in Chinese) and traditional Chinese attire "Hanfu" walking around the streets all over the world.[1]

Early Life

Moretti was born into a Vietnamese-American family of mixed Chinese and British heritage,[2] and grew up in Omaha, Nebraska. He enrolled in the University of Houston,[3] majoring in Chinese studies and obtained his BA degree from UH. He moved from the Sates to China after graduation in the end of 2015[2], and has been living in Beijing since then.

Career

Moretti became known on social media through short-form lifestyle and fashion videos featuring traditional Chinese attire such as Hanfu and Mamianqun clothing styles. His online content frequently combines fashion, travel, and cultural storytelling, contributing to his popularity among younger audiences on social media platforms.

He studied Chinese language studies at the University of Houston before relocating to Beijing in 2015, where he began creating online content and appearing on Chinese television programs. According to media reports, he later expanded his audience through social media videos focused on language, fashion, and street culture.[4]

Viral Mumbai video

In 2025, Moretti received widespread international media attention after a viral video filmed in Mumbai, India. The video documented his interaction with Rose Heaven Francis, a local woman who cared for stray animals while struggling financially. During the interaction, Francis explained her difficulties and her desire to begin a fruit-selling business to support herself and the animals she looked after.[5]

According to reports from media outlets including The Indian Express and entertainment publications, Moretti helped finance a fruit cart business for Francis after learning about her circumstances. The story gained significant traction on social media and generated widespread positive public reactions. Independent media reports highlighted Francis's work caring for stray animals and praised the charitable nature of the interaction.[6][7]

The incident was covered by several digital and entertainment publications in India and internationally, contributing to Moretti's growing recognition outside China-based social media audiences.[8]

During his tenure with the Mule Deer Foundation, Moretti supported programs related to:

  • Habitat restoration and rehabilitation
  • Conservation education
  • Public land stewardship
  • Wildlife migration research
  • Hunting and outdoor heritage preservation

The organization has participated in multiple habitat improvement projects throughout the western United States, including initiatives aimed at restoring winter range areas and improving ecosystem sustainability for mule deer populations.
