Mustapha Ezzarghani is a Moroccan-American writer, political commentator, peace advocate, public speaker, and community organizer. He is the co-founder and president of the Moroccan-Israeli Friendship Association (MIFA), a United States-based organization that promotes relations between Morocco and Israel through cultural dialogue, educational initiatives, public engagement, and community-based programs.^[1]

Ezzarghani was born and raised in Marrakech, Morocco. His early education included exposure to Islamic scholarship and Sufi traditions, which he has described as influencing his views on dialogue, intellectual inquiry, and engagement with differing perspectives.

According to Ezzarghani, his views regarding Jewish communities and Israel developed through personal experiences and his study of the history of Moroccan Jews, Muslim–Jewish relations, and the Israeli–Palestinian conflict. He later relocated to the United States, where he became involved in community organizing and initiatives related to interfaith dialogue and Moroccan–Israeli relations.

Ezzarghani has worked as a writer, political commentator, community organizer, and advocate for Muslim–Jewish dialogue. Moroccan-Israeli Friendship Association

In 2020, Ezzarghani co-founded The Moroccan-Israeli Friendship Association (MIFA), a United States-based organization established to promote relations between the Kingdom of Morocco and the State of Israel. He serves as the organization's president.

The association focuses on cultural exchange, educational engagement, interfaith dialogue, economic cooperation, and community-based initiatives involving Moroccan, Israeli, Muslim, and Jewish communities. Its work also supports dialogue and grassroots engagement associated with the normalization of relations between Morocco and Israel.

Through MIFA, Ezzarghani has participated in initiatives intended to strengthen educational and economic ties between Morocco and Israel. These activities have included facilitating engagement between business representatives, supporting discussions concerning educational cooperation, and promoting greater awareness of Morocco's Jewish history and heritage.^[5]

Views on Muslim–Jewish Dialogue

Ezzarghani has described personal encounters as contributing to the development of his views on Muslim–Jewish relations. In an interview, he recalled an experience involving a Moroccan Jewish physician from Israel who provided medical assistance to a girl from a Berber community in the Atlas Mountains. Ezzarghani stated that the experience encouraged him to examine the history of Jewish communities in Morocco and reconsider assumptions he had previously held regarding Jewish people and Israel.^[6]

He has cited Islamic scholarship and Sufi educational traditions as influences on his approach to dialogue. His public advocacy emphasizes listening, intellectual openness, and engagement between communities with differing religious, cultural, and political perspectives.
