My Little Salesman was established in 1958 by Richard Pierce and Cliff Womack during the growth of the postwar trucking and construction industries in the United States.[1] The founders developed a publication focused on photo classified advertisements for dealers selling commercial trucks and heavy equipment inventory. The publication became known as The My Little Salesman Catalog and circulated among equipment dealers and trucking businesses across the United States.[1]

In the 1990s, My Little Salesman expanded into online publishing and digital inventory listings. In 1997, the company launched an online searchable database for commercial trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment inventory listings.[1] The platform later evolved into MyLittleSalesman.com, an online marketplace for equipment buyers, sellers, dealerships, and auction companies.
