Naana The Violinist was born in Accra in 1994, the eldest of two children. She attended Methodist Girls’ High School and later pursued a BA in Psychology at the University of Ghana, Legon.

Despite initial aspirations for acting and television presenting, her passion for neuropsychology developed alongside a lifelong love for music, with the violin becoming her instrument of choice.

She taught herself to play, having previously learned the flute and trumpet during her childhood.
