Biography
Nico Parisi was born in Koersel, Belgium, and has Italian family roots. He became active within the Belgian electronic music scene in the early 2000s and was a resident DJ at Atmoz, a club concept created by Pat Krimson. He performed at multiple Atmoz venues and released tracks through labels associated with the brand.[1]
Alongside his DJ career, Parisi worked as a producer on various projects, including Aqualords, and produced remixes for artists such as 2 Fabiola and Nunca. Several of these releases were issued through Belgian dance labels. He later released material through Bonzai Progressive.
In 2023, his work received renewed attention in Belgian media following the resurgence of the track "Metro" at Tomorrowland.[2]
Metro
In 2006, Parisi co-produced the track "Metro" with Erik Hubo. The track was later featured in episode 226 of the radio show A State of Trance, hosted by Armin van Buuren.[3]
In 2023, the track was reworked by Kevin de Vries and Mau P and released on the Afterlife label. The rework received coverage in electronic music media and was widely played at festivals.[4][5][6]
Parisi later released a vocal reinterpretation of the track titled "Neverland".
