Paul Davis Restoration, Inc. is a property restoration franchise network founded in 1966.[1] The company has offices located throughout North America and operates under the parent company FirstService Corporation’s FirstService Brands.[2]
The franchise system provides water, fire, mold, and storm damage mitigation, with some offices specializing in biohazard cleanup, reconstruction and remodeling, and contents cleaning, for both residential and commercial property. Paul Davis is headquartered in Jacksonville, FL.
History
Paul Davis Restoration was founded by a contractor named Paul W. Davis. In 1969, Paul began franchising the business when the restoration and construction industry became more insurance-driven.[3]
In 1997, FirstService Corporation acquired Paul Davis Restoration, bringing the brand under its FirstService Brands.[4]
In 2010, Paul Davis opened a national training center in Jacksonville, FL with a 1700-square foot, two-story flood house used to train new owners on how to dry a home. This flood house has been approved by the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC), the industry standards organization.[5]
In January of 2026, another Paul Davis training center opened in Salt Lake City, Utah and is also approved by the IICRC.[6]
Operations
Paul Davis operates a franchise system in the United States and Canada with over 350 offices in the network.[7]
Industry Involvement
In April 2025, Leslie Anderson (Senior Vice President of Training & Launch) was appointed President and Chair of the IICRC.[8]
Leslie also received the distinguished Women in Restoration Award from R&R Magazine.[9]
Philanthropy and Partnerships
Paul Davis Restoration supported the American Red Cross in 2024 with a donation of US $500,000 to the ADGP. Franchisee volunteer initiatives also participated in events with the American Red Cross such as smoke alarm installations and blood drives.[10]
In Canada, the brand announced a multi-year partnership with the Canadian Red Cross via the Disaster Response Alliance.[11]
Selected Disaster Response
Several Paul Davis offices served property owners following the August 2025 floods in southeast Wisconsin.[12]
Paul Davis helped restore a woman’s home following Hurricane Katrina which was featured in an episode of Dr. Phil.[13]
Recognition
In the 2025 Entrepreneur Franchise 500® list, Paul Davis Restoration was ranked #65, and one of the top 100 Game Changers in 2025 from the Franchise Dictionary Magazine.[14][15]
Paul Davis was also recognized as one of the Top Brands of 2025 in Franchise Journal and Top Franchise for Veterans in 2025.[16][17]
