PissedConsumer.com is an American company that provides an online review and reputation management platform. It is privately owned and operated by Consumer Opinion LLC, and it is headquartered in Nevada, Las Vegas. Initially focused on consumer advocacy, PissedConsumer.com has evolved into a review and reputation management platform. The platform aims to build a communication bridge between consumers and companies, helping improve negotiation and resolution outcomes.

The platform places a strong emphasis on reliability and transparency. The company has built a system that can detect and vet fake reviews, supporting industry self-regulation and maintaining high standards of credibility. As of today, PissedConsumer.com hosts over 51 million consumers annually, hosts more than 6.5 million reviews, and covers more than 158,000 companies in 160 categories.

PissedConsumer.com covers a multitude of industries, including food delivery, transportation services, telecommunications, e-commerce, dating and social networking, footwear and clothing, auctions and online marketplaces.

In addition to consumer reviews, the platform provides guidance on reaching customer service, shares expert tips from business owners, and offers frequently asked questions (FAQs) for both consumers and companies, enhancing the overall user experience.

History

Michael Podolsky.jpg

PissedConsumer.com was founded in 2006 by Michael Podolsky. Podolsky is best known as a consumer rights advocate. The major idea behind the inception of this company was to create a platform where consumers could openly voice their concerns about products or services and discuss their experiences freely. This provides the business and company owners with an opportunity to publicly address their customers’ queries and work on resolving their issues. By providing an open space for communication between both parties, this platform allows consumers to bring attention to their issues with businesses. At the same time, it enables companies and business owners to analyze their processes, systems, and workflows, leading to improvements that help them better serve customers in the future. PissedConsumer.com also enables consumers to explore reviews across companies in various industries, helping them compare experiences and make informed decisions before choosing a product or service.

PissedConsumer.com has fought for the rights of consumers for unopposed speech for 14 months before the FTC moved in against Roca Labs. In the Fall of 2016, PissedConsumer.com filed several legal actions against fraudulent practices employed by reputation management companies. PissedConsumer.com was the first to uncover the scheme in March of 2016. In 2020, PissedConsumer.com entered the fight to preserve Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act in the US to protect websites based on user-generated content.

In 2023, the platform also appeared on the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing private companies.[1] At the same time, Podolsky and PissedConsumer.com launched an Ukraine Support Project, providing Ukrainian and American consumers with up‑to‑date information on companies that continue to operate in Russia.[2][3][4]

In 2024, PissedConsumer.com launched its annual Consumers Choice Award, recognizing companies that demonstrate a commitment to improving customer service.[5] PissedConsumer.com was named one of America’s fastest-growing companies in 2024 by the Financial Times and Statista.[6][7]
