Radostina Radulova-Stahmer is a German architect and full professor in Regenerative Urbanism at the Department of Architecture at Jade University in Oldenburg.[1].
Life and Work
She studied Architecture and Applied Cultural Studies at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, the Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de Madrid at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, and the Berlage Institute in Rotterdam.[2] After graduating, she received a DAAD scholarship to India, worked as a assistant professor at the Institute for Design and Urbanism, Chair for Urban and Spatial Development at Leibniz University Hannover[3], and later at the Institute for Urbanism at the TU Graz[4].
She completed her dissertation project Smart Urban Spaces – Urban Impacts of Digital Transformation in the DACH Region in 2021 at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology and Graz University of Technology with summa cum laude[5]
In 2024, Radulova-Stahmer accepted a full professorship in Regenerative Urbanism at Jade University.[6]
She is a member of the scientific advisory board “Räume neu gestalten” of the Wüstenrot Foundation.[7]
Awards and Scholarships
Her work has been recognized internationally with awards such as the Young Architecture Program (YAP) MAXXI in cooperation with MoMA Museum of Modern Art, New York in 2018[8], support from the Future Architecture Platform (FAP), MAO Ljubljana[9], and Europan 14[10]. In 2018, she was a scholarship holder at the International Academy Traunkirchen in the Resident Fellow Program.
