Redo (legally Redo Tech, Inc.) is an American eCommerce software company[1] offering returns management, post-purchase solutions, order tracking, and related services for online retailers.[2][3] It was founded in 2022 in Draper, Utah, by Tay Brown and Sterling Snow, with Snow serving as chief executive officer (CEO).[1][4] As of 2025, Redo reports serving more than 2,500 brands worldwide.[5]
History
Redo was established in Utah in 2022 and launched its platform in January 2023.[1][3] In August 2024, the company announced a $24 million Series A funding round led by Pelion Venture Partners, with participation from EPIC Ventures, Kickstart Fund, Tandem Venture Partners, Cervin Ventures, Aglaé Ventures, and angel investors.[1] In 2025, the Utah Governor's Office of Economic Opportunity confirmed that Redo had expanded its operations in Salt Lake County.[3]
Technology and Services
Redo provides an AI-assisted returns and exchanges portal with customizable workflows, exchange recommendations, and product-level insights.[2] In addition to returns management, the platform includes tools for branded order tracking, order management, claims handling, email and SMS campaigns, checkout optimization, support/helpdesk services, and warranties.[2][3]
Redo integrates with Shopify via a dedicated app listed on the Shopify App Store,[6][7] and states that it can also connect with Salesforce Commerce Cloud and BigCommerce. [2][3]
Business Model
The company's software is free for merchants to use. Revenue is generated through optional shopper-paid return coverage offered at checkout, typically ranging from $1 to $2 per order, under which Redo covers the cost of return labels for covered transactions.[2][8]
Reception
As of August 2025, Redo's Shopify app lists a 4.7/5 average rating based on more than 100 reviews.[6] In 2024, TechBuzz News reported a customer base of around 1,500 brands.[1] Forbes named Redo one of their Cloud 100 Rising Stars 2025 in September 2025, making it one of 20 startups that they believe “are on track to be among the best private cloud companies.”[9]
