Cavaliere Sami Bazzi is an award-winning entrepreneur and the founder of Joint Projects International, a leading luxury fashion retail group based in Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates. Since the early 1990s, he has been a pioneer in introducing iconic international fashion brands to the Middle East.

Career

Bazzi established Joint Projects International with a vision to transform the Middle Eastern luxury retail sector. Through his leadership, the company has introduced major global brands such as Moncler, Balmain, Young Versace, Roberto Cavalli, and Dolce & Gabbana into the region.

In 2013, Sami Bazzi spearheaded the launch of the world's first Young Versace boutique and the world's first Roberto Cavalli Junior boutique, both located at The Dubai Mall in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.[1]

His efforts significantly contributed to positioning the Middle East as a hub for luxury fashion brands.

Awards and Recognition

On December 14, 2014, Sami Bazzi was honored with the prestigious Ordine della Stella d’Italia (Order of the Star of Italy) in the rank of Cavaliere (Knight). The award was presented by the Italian Ambassador to Kuwait, Fabrizio Nicoletti, on behalf of the President of Italy, Giorgio Napolitano.[2]

The accolade recognized Bazzi’s significant contributions to the fashion industry and his role in strengthening relationships between Italian luxury brands and the Middle Eastern market.
