Sophia Conway is an Irish poet and author.
Poetry
Her Japanese short-form and free-verse poetry has been published numerous times, with her micro-chapbook Crumbs & Constellations: A Haiku Story published in 2024 by the Origami Poetry Project.[1] She has taught Haiku poetry workshops [2] and done spoken word performances for the Sakura Days Festival in Vancouver, Canada.[3]. Her short haiga film City in Gold was shown as part of The Haiku Foundation's HaikuLife Film Festival in 2024 [4]. She is a member of the League of Canadian Poets.[5].
Writing
She self-published her first novella His Last Companion in 2023. [6] Her first essay What Found Poetry Can Teach Us About Life With God with the Clayjar Review [7] was well received and her second essay Loving Our Imprisoned Neighbors published with Love is Moving Magazine [8] was heavily inspired by her community letter writing work [9] and led to her being selected as the magazines November 2024 Artists Spotlight.[10]
