Trident Group is an Indian conglomerate operating in textiles, yarn manufacturing, paper production, chemicals and captive energy generation. Its flagship company, Trident Limited, is publicly listed on Indian stock exchanges.[1][2]
The group operates manufacturing facilities in the Indian states of Punjab and Madhya Pradesh and markets its products domestically and internationally.[3]
History
Trident Group was founded in 1990 with the incorporation of Abhishek Industries Limited, which was renamed Trident Limited in April 2011. The company initially manufactured cotton yarn before expanding into terry towels and home textiles in the late 1990s. It later diversified into paper manufacturing, chemicals and captive energy production.[4]
In September 2024, the group established a Singapore-based subsidiary, Trident Group Enterprises Pte. Ltd., as part of its international expansion strategy.[5] In early 2025, it acquired Dubai-based THTL Trading LLC as a wholly owned subsidiary to support regional trading operations.[6]
Corporate structure
Trident Limited is the flagship company of Trident Group and is listed on the National Stock Exchange of India and BSE (NSE: TRIDENT; BSE: 521064).[7]
The group maintains overseas subsidiaries and offices to support its international business activities.[8]
Operations
Trident Group operates across several business segments:
- Textiles and yarn – Manufacturing of cotton and blended yarn and home textile products such as towels and bed linen.[9]
- Paper – Production of paper products using alternative fiber sources, including wheat straw.[10]
- Chemicals – Manufacturing of industrial chemicals used in textile processing and related applications.[11]
- Energy – Captive power generation using agro-waste and renewable energy installations.[12]
